A 15-man crew of the Maltese ship ARCTIC SEA, which was allegedly hijacked, arrived back to their homeland. The ship’s disappearance saga, which has been going on for nearly three weeks, has ended off the Cape Verde islands.
The investigating authorities, namely Malta, Finland and Sweden all agreed not to disclose any sensitive information on the vessel’s whereabouts in order not to jeopardize the life and safety of the persons on board. This was declared in a statement issued by the Malta Maritime earlier this week. The Maltese ship’s register had stated that they were aware of the vessel’s position for a number of days.
