Malta is the largest maritime register in Europe

The Maltese Maritime Register has become the largest ship register in Europe. This has been confirmed by the Minister responsible for Transport, Infrastructure and Communications Dr. Austin Gatt. The register is now the seventh largest in the world and in 2011 it increased its tonnage by 16% over 2010. The Maltese registry is one of the most respected registers in the world due to the high standards with which it adeheres to.
The register is also increasing its market share in the yacht registration industry with 300 super yachts registered in 2011 and an increase of 19% over the previous year.
GM International Services Limited is proud to have contributed significantly to the attainment of this position throughout its 35 years. Our close collaboration with Transport Malta (Merchant Shipping Directorate) will continue in order for the Malta flag to remain the flag of choice.
